This model features the British Telephone style handheld shower, as well as convenient supply line shutoff valves in case you need to disable the water flow temporarily for some reason.

This freestanding faucet set mounts directly to the floor with its included floor brackets, and then rises up alongside your tub and effectively hovers the spout over your bathtub rim.

Because this freestanding faucet is not actually connected to your bathtub, you actually have the ability to place it at any point adjacent to your bathtub.

You can place this faucet near a corner of your tub, centered along the side of your bathtub, or any point in between. As long as you are able to rough-in your water supply inputs at the floor, you are not limited to placing this faucet only at the foot end. The only requirement is that the faucet spout hangs over the tub rim somewhere, so that the water can pour freely into the tub.

This model differs from our other Classic Freestanding British Telephone Faucet set in a couple of minor ways.

First, the overhang of this 'short reach' model is only about 4" inches, compared to the standard 8" overhang reach of the "Classic Freestanding" model. This means your supply lines for this model can be mounted closer to your tub.

Secondly, this freestanding faucet model mounts securely to the floor, with a bracket on top, and underneath the floor using a sandwich approach (see schematic). This provides the ability to mount this set to the floor without the need for additional support braces going to an adjacent bathroom wall, or to the overflow tube. (Although, you can also use additional support braces and/or overflow tube bracelets if you desire.)

So for this model you will need some access under the floor to secure the freestanding supply lines. (You do NOT need under the floor access for the "Classic Freestanding" set.)
